The Role of Graduate Software Engineer

Qawafel is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to join the Product team in Riyadh. This full-time role is designed for a recent software engineering graduate with 0-1 years of experience who is interested in applying their technical background to product development. The position involves collaborating closely with the Engineering team to translate customer problems into clear requirements, well-documented solutions, and functional prototypes. This is not a traditional coding role; a significant portion of the time will be dedicated to analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation, utilizing AI tools, vibe coding, and AI agents for prototyping and workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product discovery initiatives with the Product and Engineering teams.
• Collect, analyze, and document business and product requirements.
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for engineers.
• Write and maintain product documentation, process flows, and integration specifications.
• Conduct benchmark analysis of competing products and market solutions.
• Plan and support usability testing, converting feedback into actionable insights.
• Coordinate integration projects with internal teams and external partners, including banks.
• Build quick prototypes and proofs of concept using vibe coding and AI-assisted tools.
• Develop AI agents and automations to enhance internal workflows and analysis.
• Visit customers as needed to understand their workflows and pain points.
• Support the team in testing ideas, validating solutions, and improving user experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• A fresh graduate in Software Engineering.
• 0-1 years of professional experience.
• Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Proficiency in using AI tools for prototyping and automation.
