About Snowflake and the Solution Engineer Role

Snowflake is powering the era of the agentic enterprise, seeking AI-native thinkers across every function. We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves solving complex customer problems and supporting sales and channel partners in a fast-growing market.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Solution Engineer works directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize on how to best support their evaluations, and ultimately help customers choose Snowflake as their solution. This role requires a passion for solving complex data challenges and enabling organizations to maximize their data assets, translating features and functions into solutions for technical and business teams, end users, and executives.

Key Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
• Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept, design, and implementation.
• Create and develop technical champions in accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins.
• Stay at the cutting edge of Snowflake technology and confidently present Snowflake roadmap features and functionality to customers and/or prospects.
• Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors, positioning Snowflake effectively.
• Collaborate with other solution engineers to foster mutual learning and continuous improvement.
• Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketing.
• Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events.
• Collaborate with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures or account strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry (*, analytics, data science, data engineering).
• Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu or using presentations and demos.
• Understanding of and experience with data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or Python.
• Ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake’s solutions.
• Customer-facing communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey our vision to a wide variety of technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience working with modern data technology (*, dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, Git).
• Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies.
