About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a SR.ENGINEER, HSE to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on supporting the implementation of HSE systems and practices within the organization.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support the implementation of HSE systems and practices by performing advanced risk assessments, monitoring site conditions, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The SR.ENGINEER, HSE will contribute technical expertise to improve HSE standards and support emergency preparedness and response activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply HSE requirements within engineering and operational processes.
• Review technical documentation and designs to verify safety considerations and environmental compliance.
• Prepare HSE awareness content and support the delivery of training sessions.
• Provide technical information to employees and contractors to ensure understanding of safety rules.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and participate in drills and exercises.
• Support the preparation of site evacuation procedures and response materials.
• Perform HSE inspections and collect data on compliance and site conditions.
• Prepare HSE reports with detailed findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Carry out on-site audits, inspections, and safety checks to ensure adherence to standards.
• Record and document observations, highlighting risks and required improvements.
• Draft and maintain HSE documentation, incident logs, and analysis reports.
• Support the preparation of root-cause analyses and recommendations after incidents.
• Research and suggest updates to HSE procedures based on industry best practices.
• Analyze incident trends and propose enhancements to safety systems.

General Accountabilities

• Solve related problems and escalate complex operational issues as needed.
• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the alfanar Group.
