The Role of a Steward

Plaza Premium Group is seeking a dedicated Steward to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation within the kitchen and back-of-house areas of our airport lounges. The Steward ensures a safe and pristine environment, supporting seamless kitchen operations and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all dishwashing duties, ensuring the thorough cleanliness of crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen areas, storage rooms, and workstations.
• Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal in strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
• Utilize cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and correctly.
• Support overall kitchen operations by keeping work areas clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the Senior Steward or Supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in stewarding, kitchen cleaning, or hospitality operations is preferred.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• A Diploma or vocational certificate in Hospitality or Stewarding is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to teamwork.
• Proficiency in basic spoken and written English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Possession of a valid health certificate as per Saudi regulations is mandatory.

Work Environment and Conditions

This full-time Steward position is based within the dynamic environment of airport lounges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role requires a willingness to work various shift duties as needed to support continuous operations. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced setting where maintaining high standards of hygiene is paramount.
