Concourse of Civilizations (COC) is seeking a Technical Office Engineer specializing in joinery, woodworks, custom furniture, and interior fit-out. This full-time position is based in Malham, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Technical Office Engineer will be responsible for translating architectural and interior design concepts into precise technical documentation. This includes preparing detailed drawings, conducting quantity take-offs, developing material schedules, generating production information, and creating cost estimates. The role involves close coordination with the factory, procurement, project management, and site teams to ensure project execution aligns with technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural and interior design drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed Shop Drawings, Sections, Details, and installation drawings for joinery and woodwork items.
• Develop accurate Quantity Take-offs, BOQs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Cut Lists, and material schedules.
• Analyze costs related to materials, labor, machinery, finishing, transportation, and installation.
• Prepare quotations and detailed cost breakdowns for various items including doors, wall cladding, wardrobes, kitchens, fixed furniture, decorative panels, and custom joinery.
• Select appropriate materials such as MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneer, laminates, hardware, and finishing systems.
• Coordinate technical requirements with production, CNC, procurement, finishing, and installation teams.
• Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) and identify discrepancies in drawings, dimensions, specifications, and site conditions.
• Review site measurements and update drawings prior to production.
• Monitor material waste, production requirements, and project costs.
• Prepare material submittals, technical proposals, samples, and project documentation.
• Support production planning and ensure the correct implementation of approved drawings in the factory and on site.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience as a Technical Office Engineer, specifically in joinery, woodworks, custom furniture, and interior fit-out.
• Demonstrated ability to convert design concepts into detailed technical drawings and production information.
• Proficiency in preparing quantity take-offs, BOQs, BOMs, and cost estimates.
