About the Role

Müller's Solutions is seeking a dedicated Windows System Administrator to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves managing and optimizing our Windows server environment, ensuring robust and reliable IT infrastructure.

Role Purpose

The Windows System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Windows server environments. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows operating systems, focusing on managing and troubleshooting server hardware, software, and networking components. The administrator will collaborate with other IT staff to maintain high availability and performance of systems, while also providing essential technical support to users.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and monitor Windows servers to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Install and configure Windows OS and application software, applying updates and patches regularly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, including hardware and software malfunctions.
• Ensure data integrity by implementing and managing backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings within Active Directory.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect server data and systems, including firewalls and anti-virus tools.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes in IT documentation.
• Assist in planning and executing system migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in Windows system administration or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022).
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other directory services.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation of tasks.
• Knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Understanding of database management systems (SQL Server) and application server environments.
• Strong communication skills to effectively assist and guide end-users.
• Proactive approach to system monitoring and improvement strategies.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are a plus.
