Life Raft PSP and Parachute Fabrications Supervisor

About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Life Raft, PSP and Parachute Fabrications Supervisor to join the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation in Taif. This full-time role is integral to ensuring the compliance and continuous improvement of survival equipment, while also encompassing company line management responsibilities. The supervisor will provide functional direction, guidance, and ensure duty of care, welfare, and health & safety within their area.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary objective of this position is to effectively deliver all activities outlined in the shop component repair plan. The role supports the success of the Salam Project by contributing to the Maintenance Support Service's contracted Operational Readiness (OR) and Key Performance Measurements (KPM). The supervisor will be accountable to their Primary Line Manager, with direct access to a Secondary Line Manager for independent issue resolution within the Life Raft, PSP, and Parachute Fabrications Shops maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold a safety-first approach, implementing safety measures and guidelines, and promoting Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety & Environment (PS&E).
• Ensure adherence to BAE Systems Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management (LCM) practices, Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) Mandates, Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Logistics Management Regulations (LMR).
• Enhance customer satisfaction by supporting maintenance, airworthiness, safety, and continual improvement, and identifying potential new processes and procedures.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement (CI) within the maintenance organization, seeking opportunities to apply and adapt best industry practices.
• Review maintenance practices, challenge current methods, and identify potential capacity for improvements.
• Recognize and escalate any malpractice affecting airworthiness or safety to the Senior Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure necessary facilities and resources are available in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor personnel standards, identify negative trends, non-conformities, or motivational deficiencies, and manage personnel development reports.
• Provide a working environment of trust, ensuring understanding of acceptable behavior per the company's "Code of Conduct".
• Provide training, consolidation, and counterpart development activities to RSAF and BAE Systems personnel.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes to support Forward Maintenance and SMU activities.
• Maintain operational readiness of shop equipment, schedule calibrations, ensure correct tooling and approved data, and raise appropriate media for deficiencies.
• Report and monitor equipment and infrastructure damage or deficiencies using correct media.
• Ensure all personnel undertaking maintenance are authorized and maintain anti-FOD surveillance.
• Ensure maintenance tasks meet high quality standards, including accurate recording on the airworthiness tool (ESS).
• Conduct oversight checks for shop husbandry and escalate forecasted planning deficiencies or delivery/FDD issues.
• Maintain competency currency for Martin Baker Parachute Fabrications pack and Personal Survival pack authorizations.
• Hold 2nd Signature and undertake required responsibilities.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience to effectively manage the responsibilities of this role.
