Job Overview

Weatherford is seeking an Application Engineer for Thru Tubing Services to join their team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to driving the growth and technical application of Weatherford’s Thru Tubing product line, which includes Fishing, Milling, Packers, and Well Intervention solutions. The position requires 5-10 years of experience and combines strong technical expertise with commercial and customer-facing responsibilities.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Thru Tubing Applications Engineer provides technical support throughout the sales and service process. This involves developing job designs and operational programs, preparing technical and commercial proposals, supporting field operations, and identifying new business opportunities. The role works closely with Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, and customers to develop technically sound solutions that align with customer objectives, while also supporting revenue growth, market share expansion, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support for Thru Tubing Fishing, Milling, Packers, and Well Intervention products and services.
• Develop job designs, technical recommendations, and operational programs to meet customer requirements safely and efficiently.
• Support job planning, execution, troubleshooting, and service quality in collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Product Line Management.
• Act as a primary technical interface with customers, understanding their requirements and developing effective Weatherford solutions.
• Support sales and business development through technical proposals, tenders, quotations, customer presentations, and opportunity development.
• Promote Weatherford Thru Tubing technologies and services to support revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify new business opportunities and provide market intelligence on customer requirements, projects, competitors, and market trends.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, job documentation, presentations, application guidelines, and training materials.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to field personnel and junior team members, supporting competency and knowledge development.
• Collaborate across Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, Quality, and HSE to ensure effective service delivery.

• Maintain high standards of QHSE, ensuring compliance with Weatherford policies, customer requirements, applicable regulations, and the Company’s Rules to Live By.
• Demonstrate safety leadership, proactively identify risks, and stop operations when there is an immediate risk to personnel, the environment, equipment, or service quality.
• Maintain continuous technical and professional development and complete all required functional, compliance, and business training.
• Support continuous improvement, business strategy implementation, performance reviews, and Product Line initiatives.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in the field. The role requires a strong technical background combined with commercial acumen and customer interaction skills.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Eastern region, within the Weatherford team. The role involves close collaboration with various internal departments and direct engagement with customers.
