About the Opportunity

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for full-time faculty positions within the Department of Global Studies at the KFUPM Business School. These roles are available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Departmental Focus and Candidate Profile

The Department of Global Studies is seeking candidates who are affiliated with prestigious, top-ranked global universities, as recognized by the QS World University Rankings. Applicants possessing expertise or experience specifically related to the Middle East are particularly encouraged to apply for these academic positions.

Core Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to dedicate approximately 35-40 hours per week to professional duties. Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching
• Conducting research
• Providing academic advising to students
• Performing administrative duties
• Undertaking any other academic duties assigned by the relevant academic department

Candidate Qualifications

Successful candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• An earned ** degree from a reputable university in the relevant field.
• Completion of full-time bachelor’s and master’s degrees with very good academic grades.
• Provision of a certificate equivalency if the degree was obtained from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Specialized Expertise

The department is specifically interested in candidates demonstrating expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• International Law
• Public Policy
• Energy Policy
• Nonprofit Management / Nonprofit Studies
• Leadership (Corporate Leadership, Business Leadership)
• History (World History, Comparative History, Modern History)

• Psychology (Social Psychology, Business Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology)
