About the Role

IKEA Alsulaiman is seeking an Interior Design Specialist to join its team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time role focuses on presenting the IKEA home furnishing offer through strong visual impressions to inspire visitors, exceed customer expectations, and strengthen the IKEA Brand. The specialist will contribute to converting more visitors into customers through effective visual communication.

Role Objective

The primary objective of this position is to strengthen the IKEA store's role as a commercial medium. This involves integrating IKEA Commercial Plans with national and local strategies to ensure the IKEA Brand maintains its relevance, attractiveness, and competitiveness in the local market, thereby maximizing sales and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize home furnishing expertise to develop inspiring and functional solutions for room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas, reflecting the IKEA identity.
• Gather insights from home visits and customer needs to translate them into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic, and commercial home furnishing solutions.
• Contribute to the creation of the Showroom Matrix, ensuring a diverse range of styles, living situations, and price levels with distinct visual impressions.
• Ensure high quality, simplicity, efficiency, and cost-consciousness in the planning and implementation of range presentation solutions, adhering to IKEA global tools and best practices.
• Operate IKEA Revit software, libraries, and templates to complete commercial planning and compilation packages within agreed timelines.
• Stay updated on home furnishing, retail, and market trends, contributing creative ideas during workshops and planning sessions.
• Contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that support business growth, sales, and long-term profitability.
• Collaborate closely with the Commercial & Interior Design (Com&In) team and other functions to execute agreed plans and identify commercial opportunities.
• Understand the financial impact of actions and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Maintain a strong customer focus while working on the shop floor, minimizing disruption, ensuring safety, and upholding a positive visual impression at all times.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should have 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field, such as interior design, visual merchandising, or home furnishing. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to create compelling visual presentations and contribute to commercial objectives.
