OUTPATIENT NURSE

About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking an Outpatient Nurse 2 to provide direct patient care in Dhahran. This full-time role involves implementing nursing processes, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and maintaining patient safety under moderate supervision. The nurse will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient and effective nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide various assigned nursing care services, including patient management.
• Assist in routine clinical tasks and ensure patient safety throughout the process.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to support smooth unit operations.
• Monitor patient progress and report concerns to senior staff.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patient's age.
• Provide nursing care and patient/family education consistent with the plan of care and patient needs, respecting privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture.
• Precept new hires and trainees during the probation training period and participate in making recommendations regarding progress and training needs.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and lifesaving situations using clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
• Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.

Strategic Contributions

• Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving nursing practices within the assigned unit.
• Participate in the development of protocols and processes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Support high staff engagement and patient experience.
• Work to achieve and sustain a high quality of care and patient safety.
• Support the empowerment of nurses through the enculturation of the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to achieve and/or maintain the mandated set of activities for level 2, which includes a minimum total of 15 points in at least three categories within each 12-month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, focusing on direct patient care within an outpatient nursing unit.
