About the Senior IT Database Specialist Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Senior IT Database Specialist to join their team in Dhahran. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience to ensure the optimal reliability and performance of the organization's database systems.

Strategic Contribution

The Senior IT Database Specialist will be responsible for researching market trends and innovations. This involves recommending new strategic directions and advanced solutions to IT leadership that can benefit JHAH.

Operational Responsibilities

Key operational duties include:

• Implementing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and monitoring the organization's IT database systems to ensure reliability, stability, scalability, security, and optimal performance.
• Conducting regular IT database systems capacity assessments to plan for projected changes in resource utilization.
• Ensuring IT database systems comply with relevant best practices, regulatory requirements, governance programs, enterprise architecture standards, and cybersecurity policies.
• Managing engagements with contracted vendors for IT database systems support, managed services, or professional services, ensuring service delivery meets defined scope, time, cost, and quality constraints.
• Investigating and resolving IT database systems related incidents in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Fulfilling IT database systems related service requests in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Evaluating and processing IT demand requests involving IT database systems, and supporting the fulfillment of approved requests in compliance with relevant policies and procedures and the organization's IT project management framework.

Team Development

This role involves mentoring and guiding junior colleagues, contributing to the development of the IT database team.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT database specialization. Expertise in several relevant database technologies is essential for success in this role.
