About the Role

Acwa China is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Al Qurayyat, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves performing maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on the plant's electrical machinery and equipment. The Electrical Technician will ensure effective functionality and reliability in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Execute daily and routine preventative electrical maintenance work according to schedule and procedures to support continuous operations.
Monitor the physical condition of equipment, reporting non-conformances to the Electrical Supervisor to maintain facilities as per Quality/HSE standards.
Respond to electrical failures, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize equipment functionality.
Troubleshoot electrical issues, including diagnosing, repairing, and testing circuit or wiring faults, and locating cable faults.
Diagnose causes of electrical malfunction or failure in operational equipment such as transformers, motors, relays, switches, and control devices, taking corrective measures in collaboration with the Electrical Supervisor.
Interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams to perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment to specifications, maintaining records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
Check stock levels of spare parts to support effective inventory control.
Update maintenance logbooks with details of work performed, including defaults, problems, findings, and equipment conditions.

Collaboration and Reporting

The Electrical Technician will work closely with the Electrical Supervisor, Engineers, and Supervisors within the Maintenance section, as well as the Operations Team. This role requires effective internal communication to ensure coordinated maintenance efforts.

Continuous Improvement and Compliance

Contribute to the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programs, and projects in line with organizational standards.
Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard maintenance procedures, and instructions to ensure work quality and consistency.
Comply with all health, safety, security, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant electrical technician role.
Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on electrical machinery and equipment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical failures and implementing corrective actions.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
