Quality Operations Manager (A VSM) nd Shift

About the Role

Airbus ** is seeking a Quality Operations Manager (A220 VSM) 2nd Shift to join their team in Al Qatif. This full-time role involves leading Quality inspection teams across multiple business units and acting as the on-site representative for Quality A220 VSM during the 2nd shift. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Quality VSM and will be responsible for ensuring operational quality activities are maintained to Airbus standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and coordinate all operational Quality activities within A220 VSM across various business units.
• Lead and develop VSM Quality Inspection teams on the 2nd shift, ensuring personnel qualification aligns with Airbus requirements.
• Mitigate risks and resolve quality issues that may impact aircraft build or product safety, initiating immediate corrective actions.
• Manage and track Non-Conformances (NCs) from creation to closure, prioritizing Andons within the Multi-Functional Teams (MFTs).
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external audits in assigned areas.
• Ensure consistent and clear communication between shifts for seamless activity and priority transfer.
• Uphold and execute all Airbus Quality Standards according to defined inspection systems and POA regulations.
• Conduct training to ensure optimal performance in job procedures and methods for lead employees and technicians.
• Drive performance and indirectly lead MFT members (*, Methods, Engineering, NDT) to achieve results.
• Ensure all TCCA-POA regulatory requirements are implemented and utilized in the VSM on the 2nd shift.
• Support the deployment of sustainable improvement projects and standardized working methods such as AOS.
• Lead projects and initiatives including new station implementation, customer inspection processes, and production rate increases.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Quality, Operational, and leadership processes and tools.
• Ability to make challenging decisions under pressure that impact operational flow.
• Experience in managing, motivating, and developing Quality teams.
• Familiarity with Airbus Qualification requirements for inspection personnel.
• Proficiency in AOS and the ability to implement QPS bricks across multiple stations.
• Strong understanding of Airbus policies and processes, including NC Process and PV delegation.

Physical Requirements

• Adequate vision for computer screen use and identifying individuals.
• Sufficient hearing for conversations and safety alerts.
• Ability to speak clearly in person and electronically, and deliver information to groups.
• Capable of operating personal and office electronic equipment.
• Ability to work on jigs at fuselage heights of 15 feet and hydraulic lifts up to 40 feet.
• Occasional carrying and lifting of up to 55lbs/25kg.
• Ability to push/pull items in office areas.
• Capable of sitting for extended periods, and occasionally squatting/kneeling.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
• Prepared for domestic and international travel, potentially for extended periods.
