Engineering Technician Civil works

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an Engineering Technician - Civil Works to join their team in Medina. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 year of experience and involves applying various finishes to property surfaces and maintaining painting equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces for finish coats by applying primers or sealers.
• Remove old finishes through methods such as stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces with appropriate protective materials during painting and post relevant paint signs.
• Clean and store paint, painting tools, and equipment in designated areas.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move up and down a ladder.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• Experience: 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.

This is a full-time position based in Medina, Saudi Arabia, within the Marriott International team.
