About Alfanar and the Role

Alfanar, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is a diversified company operating construction and manufacturing businesses, design & development centers, and various facilities across the Middle East and other countries. Alfanar Construction is recognized as a Grade I contractor by the Government of Saudi Arabia. Alfanar Building Systems specializes in manufacturing and marketing building construction products, including real estate development, façade cladding, glazing systems, architectural aluminum products, precast concrete products, and architectural elements. We are seeking an Architectural Engineer, QA / QC to join our team in Al Hafuf for a full-time position.

Role Overview and Purpose

The Architectural Engineer, QA/QC is responsible for implementing quality processes to ensure that all products and projects consistently meet required standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves supporting the development and implementation of quality control procedures, assisting with inspections and audits, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, work alongside senior engineers, and contribute to ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all dimensions and embedments conform to drawings, and communicate with designers for clarity on any conflicts.
Follow issued Requests for Information (RFIs), provide comments, monitor the rectification of comments, and represent the department for joint inspections with consultants and clients.
Enhance processes to improve efficiency, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs), and monitor the implementation of Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
Verify that only approved materials are utilized for project execution, clarify any project arrangements requiring execution, and raise quality concerns to prevent recurrence.
Document all non-conformities and observations, including the required RCA, and follow through on necessary corrective actions for implementation.

Execute planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to schedules, utilizing resources effectively to achieve objectives within cost and time efficiencies. Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and task execution.
Resolve operational problems as they arise and escalate complex issues to appropriate channels.
Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, actively seeking opportunities for automation.
Comply with all relevant company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined work area to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and the delivery of high-quality products/services.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in architectural engineering with a focus on Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
