About Red Sea Global and Coastal Transportation Services

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Associate Director Finance to join our Mobility Team on a full-time basis. This strategic role requires a professional with a solid accounting and FP&A background to drive business partnership with operations, enhance financial insights, and lead budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis. The Associate Director Finance will be instrumental in shaping the company’s financial direction and promoting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish business partnering by analyzing current activity and building insights into performance against budgets and business cases.
  • Utilize financial information to forecast and shape the strategic direction of the business, integrating into the budget, capital, and business planning cycles.
  • Provide regular, insightful reporting to executive leadership within Mobility and Operations, supporting group reporting requirements.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes in alignment with company goals.
  • Contribute to the development and management of dynamic financial models, dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
  • Deliver high-quality financial insights, variance analyses, and scenario planning to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to improve cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Partner with the Accounting department to ensure alignment between management reporting and statutory accounts.
  • Play a key role in strategic initiatives, including business expansion, cost transformation, and investment analysis.

Financial Policies and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Consult with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring a smooth process and resolution of identified issues.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement in departmental systems, processes, and practices.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering continuous improvement in skills and performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and efficiency within the finance department and across other business functions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, HR, and operations, to ensure financial alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Communicate financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to internal and external stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking individual with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. You will be eager to collaborate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possess the expertise in financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis required for this strategic role.
