Inspector (Structural/Civil)

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Structural/Civil Inspector to join our team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, with assignments in Umluj and Tabuk. This full-time position involves performing inspection tasks to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications on various field projects. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to verify work adherence to contract specifications.
• Inspect construction of roads, bridges, associated improvements (curb and gutter, street, sidewalk, landscaping), and drainage work.
• Monitor traffic control and compliance with SWPPP requirements.
• Oversee the installation of electrical equipment for traffic signals, ramp metering, and street lighting.
• Inspect irrigation and planting, as well as roadway and overhead sign removal and installation.
• Verify the installation of temporary and permanent signs, delineation, and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect building and facility construction, including associated site development.
• Take and file daily project photographs.
• Maintain office files related to the project, perform quantity calculations, and write daily diaries.
• Prepare daily reports and other contractually required documentation.
• Verify that only approved materials are incorporated into the work.
• Identify potential conflicts, issues, and problems, reporting them to the supervisor with proposed solutions.
• Collect, review, and file Certificates of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags, and other material-relevant information.
• Report on installed quantities, number of workers, and equipment on site.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma combined with equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of related experience on field projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, with thorough familiarity in construction-related processes relevant to the area of assignment.
• Fluent in English grammar and composition, with clear oral and written communication skills.
• Capability to perform mathematical calculations for engineering calculations, graphs, and charts.
• Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, and Project Management Software.
• Ability to comply with project-specific client and industry standards.
• Thorough understanding of scheduling, and the ability to review progress pay estimates and extra work bills.
• Ability to recognize hazardous work conditions and take appropriate action.
• Demonstrated good judgment and ability to work effectively with others.
