About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Painter to join its team in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for executing all painting and finishing works throughout the hotel. The primary objective is to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and other property assets are consistently maintained in excellent condition, adhering to the hotel's quality and safety standards. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

Perform interior and exterior painting works as assigned by management.
Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and applying primer before painting.
Mix and match paint colors accurately to achieve the desired finish and consistency.
Execute touch-up painting and repaint damaged or worn surfaces to restore appearance.
Carry out repair and maintenance tasks on painted walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and furniture.
Install, repair, or remove wallpaper as required by maintenance schedules or requests.
Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and storage of all painting tools and equipment.
Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules and respond promptly to all maintenance requests.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area before, during, and after completing tasks.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of paints and chemicals.
Coordinate effectively with other Engineering team members on various maintenance projects.
Report any material shortages or equipment defects to the Engineering Supervisor in a timely manner.
Provide support for emergency maintenance activities when necessary.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Engineering management.

Qualifications and Experience

0-1 years of experience in painting or a related maintenance field.
Foundational knowledge of various painting techniques and surface preparation methods.
Ability to understand and follow safety protocols related to painting and chemical handling.

Working Environment

The Painter role involves working in diverse environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings. Candidates must be prepared to work at heights and in confined spaces when required. The position necessitates flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed to ensure continuous operational readiness.
