Role Overview: Risk Operations Manager

As a full-time Risk Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the adequate integration and consolidation of risks from operational subsidiaries and enablers up to the systemic operations level. This role involves developing comprehensive dashboards and risk registers for subsidiaries, operational assets, activities (including hospitality and non-hospitality), and the overall Operations Risk Profile.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in setting goals, initiatives, and plans, and monitor their execution.
• Manage day-to-day activities and operations, including implementing policies and procedures, and recommending potential improvements.
• Assist in the development and management of financial and human resource requirements, including the annual budget.
• Manage, guide, and support employees in their work execution and development to improve performance.
• Support the development and maintenance of Operations Risk Management policy, processes, and procedures in alignment with the ISO 31000 framework.
• Ensure integration and alignment between the operational verticals.
• Roll out the approved implementation plan for Operations upon gaining approval from the Associate Operations Risk Director.
• Oversee the implementation of approved mitigation plans.

Risk Oversight and Reporting

• Provide an aggregated view of risks related to overall Operations Mega Processes.
• Develop systemic Operations risk profiles and assume the role of Operations Risk Panel (ORP) Secretariat.
• Review all identified operational asset risks, ensuring material risks are properly consolidated at the operations systemic level and escalated to the Associate Operations Risk Director.
• Run and facilitate operations risk assessment workshops and meetings.
• Facilitate the development of risk treatment plans with the risk owners.
• Review consolidated operations risk treatment strategies and identify improvement areas for enterprise-level adoption.
• Prepare risk dashboards and reports.
• Monitor compliance and effectiveness of RM processes and procedures within RSG Operations and report on results.
• Monitor implementation timeliness and effectiveness of consolidated Operational risk treatment Plans and strategy.

Collaboration and Development

• Engage Corporate, Projects Delivery, and Development risk teams to ensure proper and effective transfer of risks across the value chain risk owners.
• Engage Operations teams in discussions regarding events that could lead to potential losses or missed opportunities.
• Identify risk training needs.
• Develop and deliver training materials to Risk Champions to raise RM awareness.
• Recommend awareness messages (*, emails, brochures, screen savers) to be delivered to the business.
• Share knowledge of risk practices and best practices with the ERM function.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 10 years of experience in risk operations or a related field. A strong understanding of risk management principles and frameworks, particularly ISO 31000, is required to effectively manage and integrate operational risks across Red Sea Global.
