Role Overview

The Specialist - Logistics is responsible for coordinating and controlling the daily activities of drivers and equipment operators. The primary objective is to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery, collection, and operation of plant and equipment across company projects and customer locations. This full-time role involves comprehensive transport coordination, operator administration, competency verification, and meticulous management of all operational documentation.

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate and monitor the daily activities of drivers and plant operators.
• Allocate personnel and equipment effectively based on operational requirements.
• Schedule and follow up on deliveries and collections of plant and equipment.
• Monitor transport movements to ensure timely delivery and collection.
• Coordinate with workshops, projects, and customers regarding equipment availability and status.
• Maintain effective communication with field personnel and project teams.
• Address operational issues promptly and escalate concerns when necessary.

Compliance and Documentation Management

• Ensure drivers and operators comply with company procedures, site rules, and safety requirements.
• Verify licenses, certifications, and competencies of drivers and operators before assignment, maintaining accurate records of qualifications and expiry dates.
• Collect, review, and process driver and operator timesheets accurately and on time.
• Ensure delivery notes, collection notes, and supporting documentation are properly signed and submitted.
• Maintain accurate operational records and filing systems.
• Assist in preparing operational reports and tracking equipment movements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transport regulations, and health & safety standards.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure adherence to safe transport and equipment handling procedures.
• Report incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues promptly.
• Support audits and compliance inspections as required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of experience in logistics, transport coordination, or a related operational role. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance are essential for success in this position.

This role involves regular interaction with various stakeholders:

• Internal: C3 Group (as applicable), field personnel, and project teams.
• External: Suppliers, Subcontractors, Operators / End Users, and Auditors (as applicable).
