Safety Officer

We are looking for a Safety Officer With EXPERIENCE IN THE OILFIELD

📍 Location: Abqaiq, Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and maintain strategies, plans and procedures to protect employees, property and facilities from workplace health and safety hazards. • Assess workplace hazards and risks and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate them. • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety issues and ensure compliance with established safety protocols. • Investigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Deliver regular safety training sessions and organize impactful safety campaigns to promote awareness. • Maintain accurate records and documentation for safety inspections, incidents and training. • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety strategies, plans and procedures, and adjust as needed. • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on safety-related matters. • Stay updated on emerging safety trends, regulations and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum 2 to 5 years of dedicated HSE experience on land-based drilling or workover rigs. Experience in other industrial sectors will also be considered. • Professional qualification such as NEBOSH International General Certificate, IOSH (or equivalent). • Strong familiarity with heavy equipment and international safety standards. • Clear communication under pressure, conflict resolution across multicultural field crews, and firm leadership. • A valid driving license and knowledge of first aid techniques are an advantage.
