NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is a partnership between Air Products, ACWA Power, and NEOM, established to develop a green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility in Oxagon, Tabuk, Neom. This project integrates renewable solar, wind, and storage power to produce green ammonia for global export, with operations scheduled to commence in 2026.

Role Summary

The Ammonia Operation Shift Supervisor is a key member of the NGHC Operations & Maintenance team. This full-time role involves leading the safe and reliable operation of the Ammonia Production Plants during an assigned shift. The supervisor will build strong working relationships with maintenance personnel, control room operators, field operators, and plant managers, ensuring safe operations through effective work permit management and strict compliance with NGHC EH&S standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 15–20 control room and field operators.
• Support day-to-day plant operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize, schedule, and complete maintenance activities.
• Respond to planned and unplanned plant trips and lead troubleshooting initiatives.
• Develop and update operating procedures as required.
• Manage operational KPIs to enhance plant performance and effectiveness.
• Promote resource sharing across NGHC Operations.
• Lead safety performance initiatives, including reducing recordable injuries, BSP compliance, incident investigation, and reporting.
• Support commissioning activities with the AP-EPC Commissioning Team.
• Promote and enforce NGHC safety programs, rules, and good housekeeping practices.
• Lead safety management during plant turnarounds.
• Act as Incident Commander during emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S standards, Management of Change (MOC) requirements, bypass procedures, company standards, and statutory regulations.

Commissioning and Operational Excellence

• Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and plant start-up activities.
• Support plant troubleshooting and provide after-hours emergency assistance when necessary.
• Identify, communicate, implement, and maintain operational best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all training requirements, procedures, specifications, and applicable regulations.
• Create operating procedures to support plant operations.

Leadership and People Development

• Create a positive working environment and support operator development.
• Mentor operators and maintenance technicians while promoting NGHC’s safety culture.
• Foster employee involvement, teamwork, integrity, and diversity across the operations team.
• Support continuous development and knowledge sharing within the operations function.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant operational role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex plant operations.
• Strong understanding of EH&S standards and operational best practices.
