About NEOM Green Hydrogen Company and the Project

NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is a joint venture formed by Air Products, ACWA Power, and NEOM. This partnership is dedicated to developing a green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility within NEOM, Saudi Arabia. The project integrates renewable solar, wind, and storage power to produce green ammonia for global export, with operations scheduled to commence in 2026.

About the Role: ASU & Utilities Operation Shift Supervisor

NGHC is seeking an ASU & Utilities Operation Shift Supervisor to join its Operations & Maintenance team. Based in Oxagon, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role is responsible for leading the safe and reliable operation of the Air Separation Unit (ASU) and Utilities plants during assigned shifts. The supervisor will build strong working relationships with maintenance personnel, control room operators, field operators, and plant managers, while ensuring safe operations through effective work permit management and strict compliance with NGHC EH&S standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 15–20 control room operators and field operators.
  • Support all day-to-day plant operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and plant efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize, schedule, and complete daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance activities.
  • Respond rapidly to planned and unplanned plant trips and lead troubleshooting initiatives.
  • Develop and update operating procedures as required.
  • Manage operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve plant performance and effectiveness.
  • Lead safety performance initiatives, including reducing recordable injuries, ensuring BSP compliance, and conducting incident investigations and reporting.
  • Promote and enforce NGHC safety programs, safety rules, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Act as Incident Commander during emergency situations.
  • Ensure compliance with EH&S standards, Management of Change (MOC) requirements, bypass procedures, company standards, and statutory regulations.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and plant start-up activities, supporting the AP-EPC Commissioning Team.
  • Identify, communicate, implement, and maintain operational best practices.
  • Mentor operators and maintenance technicians, fostering employee involvement, teamwork, integrity, and diversity across the operations team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in ASU & Utilities plant operations.
  • Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in a similar operational leadership role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong safety focus and operational leadership background.
  • Extensive experience in ASU & Utilities plant operations.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities with strong prioritization skills.
