About the Role

Air Arabia is seeking an Airport Supervisor to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves assisting the Airport Manager in overseeing daily station activities. The primary objective is to ensure safety, security, On-Time Performance (OTP), efficiency, and smooth workflow, all in strict adherence to Company policies and regulatory requirements. The Supervisor will also foster effective relationships with civil aviation authorities, Ground Handling Agents (GHAs), and General Sales Agents (GSAs) to optimize daily operations and achieve cost-effective results.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Airport Manager in monitoring operational and security functions, ensuring timely facilitation and smooth daily activities as per Air Arabia policies and procedures.
• Supervise briefings/debriefings, ramp operations, check-in processes, safety, and security protocols, reporting any deviations or delays to the Airport Manager.
• Liaise with the Airport Manager, Flight Operations, and MCC to manage Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations, emergencies, technical delays, disruptions, and service recovery efforts.
• Report all incidents and accidents to the Airport Manager and Head Office using established formats and communication channels, including Dangerous Goods incidents to local authorities and headquarters.
• Issue instructive plans to handling agent staff, providing support for efficient passenger service and guidance in complex situations.
• Ensure appropriate information is provided to local authorities when required and that all advisories or circulars from Ground Operations are communicated to relevant personnel.
• Monitor the baggage handling system, trace lost luggage, conduct investigations for customer complaints, and compile necessary reports for the Airport Manager.
• Support Quality Assurance, Safety, and Security Departments in audit checks, ensuring staff adherence to standards and timely closure of findings.
• Deputize the Airport Manager in their absence, assuming full responsibilities for station operations.

Compliance and Performance Monitoring

The Airport Supervisor is responsible for ensuring handling agents adhere to Company policies, procedures, and all relevant legislations and regulatory requirements, reporting non-compliance for corrective measures. This role also involves monitoring Ground Handling Agents (GHAs) and General Sales Agents (GSAs) Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure optimal benefits, covering performance, payments, meetings, and communication. The Supervisor will recommend enhancements or changes as necessary to protect Air Arabia's financial interests and corporate image. Additionally, the role utilizes delay and performance reports and data analysis to monitor customer service and payments, identify trends, and address recurring issues for continuous improvement.

Revenue Management and Reporting

A key aspect of this position involves monitoring collections from various airport revenue-generating services, including Excess Baggage, Go Show, Wheelchair services, and Seat Sales. The Supervisor will support the airport team in achieving revenue targets and delivering excellent customer services. Furthermore, the role requires providing the Airport Manager and Head Office with essential reports such as Flight Handling Reports, Disruption Reports, Incidents/Accidents Reports, and Customer Complaints Reports.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management/Administration or an equivalent field from a recognized university, or a diploma in a related field combined with necessary work experience.
• Mandatory trainings in Basic Airport safety and security procedures and regulations.
• Required certifications or trainings in IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, Passenger Handling, and Ground Operations Procedures.

Required Experience and Competencies

• Good knowledge of IATA, Civil Aviation Authorities, and Regulatory Bodies' rules and regulations pertaining to Ground Handling working procedures, operating standards, GHAs, and GSAs.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Passenger Handling, Cargo, Ramp, Dispatch, Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), or Load Control.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships within the Aviation Industry and Markets.
• Familiarity with monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Capable of implementing policies, procedures, and manuals in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with Quality Assurance, Safety, Security, and Audit procedures and practices affecting Ground Operations.
• Composed, self-confident, focused, and capable of handling emergencies effectively.
• Possesses effective time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Dynamic with high accuracy and attention to detail.
