About the Role

BDO Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mohamed Al-Amri & Co. is seeking an Audit Senior / Assistant Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. This role is integral to conducting client audits, ensuring adherence to the BDO Audit Methodology, and reporting identified critical issues to management. The firm has a history of over four decades as a leading Audit and Consulting firm in the Kingdom, committed to professional development and offering opportunities for global business experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client audits in accordance with the BDO Audit Methodology.
  • Report critical issues identified during audits to the Manager.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess client satisfaction.
  • Adapt audit approaches to evolving client environments.
  • Utilize technology for researching and analyzing audit-related issues.
  • Prepare initial drafts of audit reports and other client communications.
  • Direct daily fieldwork activities and keep managers informed of engagement status.
  • Manage staff performance, including delegating tasks and providing guidance.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with team members, including on-the-job training.
  • Proactively identify and discuss risks with the Team Manager.
  • Effectively use audit technology tools and firm standard technologies for work performance and documentation.
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact and conduct audit work.
  • Perform other assignments as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience gained within large audit and consulting firms.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Overseas working experience is considered an advantage.
  • Previous work experience in the Middle East is considered an advantage.
  • Professional representation of the Firm, demonstrating punctuality.

Required Skills

  • Strong and current knowledge of IFRS and ISA.
  • Proficiency in client relationship management and communication.
  • Ability to adapt audit approaches to evolving client environments.
  • Skills in research and analysis.
  • Competence in report preparation.
  • Experience in staff performance management and delegation.
  • Capability in knowledge sharing and providing on-the-job training.
  • Aptitude for risk identification and proactive discussion.
  • Familiarity with audit technology tools and firm standard technologies.
  • Demonstrated ambition, drive, energy, and creativity.
  • Ability to work effectively within multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
