HPC Code Optimizer

About the Role

MIS - Al Moammar Information Systems Co. is seeking an experienced HPC Code Optimizer to join their team in Makkah or Jeddah. This full-time role involves enhancing the performance and efficiency of software codes within High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize the performance of software codes used in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
• Transform sequential codes into parallel codes to improve performance and efficiency.
• Develop and enhance parallel software using technologies such as MPI, OpenMP, and CUDA.
• Analyze application performance, identify bottlenecks, and pinpoint areas for improvement using Profiling and Debugging tools.
• Work with advanced architectures for processors and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs).
• Support, operate, and optimize applications in Supercomputing environments.
• Provide technical support to users, respond to inquiries and complaints, analyze problems, and work towards resolutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams and users to ensure the efficiency and stability of HPC applications.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Master's or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in parallel code programming and High-Performance Computing.
• Experience with various versions of Linux operating systems.
• Practical experience in parallel programming techniques, including:
  • MPI
  • OpenMP
  • CUDA
• Knowledge of advanced processor architectures, including:
  • Intel Xeon Phi
  • NVIDIA GPGPU
• Experience with Allinea DDT & Profiler tools.
• Experience with Intel Composer Studio.
• Experience with PGI Compiler.
• Experience with Supercomputing management and operation systems, including:
  • FEFS
  • CDM
  • PBS Pro
  • DDN
  • And other related systems.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah or Jeddah, focusing on advanced computing environments.
