About the Role

NVIDIA is seeking a Developer Technology Engineer specializing in Energy to accelerate simulation and AI workflows on NVIDIA platforms. This full-time position in Saudi Arabia involves optimizing CUDA performance for various workloads, including seismic processing, reservoir simulation, and power grid simulators. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Role Context and Focus

This role focuses on advancing NVIDIA's computing model, which is centered on visual and AI computing. The Developer Technology Engineer will work directly with customer and partner engineering teams, as well as NVIDIA's internal product and engineering groups, to achieve measurable speedups and scalable performance on multi-GPU and multi-node systems. The primary objective is to enhance the effectiveness of NVIDIA's GPU technology in solving complex problems within the Energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

Profile, analyze, and optimize GPU-accelerated applications, with a focus on CUDA kernels, memory movement, concurrency, and end-to-end throughput.
Drive performance improvements across the stack, including CUDA C++ kernel optimization, launch configuration, memory hierarchy, streams/events, and GPU libraries (cuBLAS, cuFFT, cuSPARSE, cuSOLVER, NCCL).
Implement multi-GPU and multi-node scaling using MPI + NCCL, CPU/GPU overlap, and communication patterns.
Build reproducible benchmarks, performance reports, and tuning recommendations, detailing methodology and scaling curves.
Develop and maintain reference implementations, examples, and/or patches to customer code to ensure performance and portability.
Support customer engagements from Proof of Concept (POC) to production, including debugging correctness/performance issues and advising on deployment best practices (containers, schedulers, clusters).
Collaborate with internal teams to file actionable issues, validate fixes, and influence the product roadmap based on customer requirements in the Energy sector.
Build internal libraries and reusable code that can contribute to future NVIDIA products.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
Demonstrated expertise in computer science and engineering, particularly in accelerating Energy simulation and AI workflows.
Experience with CUDA performance optimization for workloads such as seismic processing, reservoir simulation, and power grid simulators.
