About the Role

Waad Education is seeking a dedicated IT Support Officer to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah Province. This is a full-time position that requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in IT support. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technological infrastructure and providing essential technical assistance to staff and students.

Role Overview

The IT Support Officer is responsible for delivering comprehensive technical support across the school environment. This involves maintaining hardware and software systems, supporting network operations, and ensuring the reliability of educational technology. The role focuses on proactive maintenance and responsive troubleshooting to minimize disruptions and enhance the user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for users.
• Install, configure, and maintain essential IT equipment including computers, printers, projectors, and smart boards.
• Support school networks, email services, Microsoft 365 applications, and various educational systems.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software licenses, and asset inventories.
• Assist with technology requirements for classroom activities, examinations, and school events.
• Ensure basic cybersecurity measures, data protection protocols, and regular system updates are implemented.
• Manage and follow up on all IT support requests and incidents to ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate effectively with external IT vendors for specialized support or services when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in an IT support role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Proven capability to provide professional and courteous support to users.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah Province, within an educational environment. The role requires a hands-on approach to IT support, interacting directly with staff and students to resolve technical challenges.
