About the Production Manager - Frozen Role

Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking a Production Manager for its Frozen division in Jeddah. This full-time role requires a professional to lead and optimize all production processes, ensuring adherence to company standards and international best practices for efficient and cost-effective output.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the approved production strategy to meet factory and business objectives.
• Plan all production activities to achieve factory production targets within specified time and budget constraints.
• Identify and report production process bottlenecks, ensuring resolution through established problem-solving methodologies with the production team.
• Analyze Production Performance Data regularly to identify development trends and improvement opportunities, communicating findings internally using visual management standards.
• Continuously improve standards by facilitating and executing appropriate methodologies aligned with Continuous Improvement principles.
• Audit and monitor the operating system (SOS) and lead Continuous Improvement and Lean activities.
• Strictly enforce company product quality rules and ensure all staff adhere to defined parameters.

People Management and Development

• Recruit and select appropriate staff in accordance with company policies.
• Develop team skills through assessment, training, and feedback. Manage the ongoing performance of direct reports and identify potential for progression.
• Lead the production team to foster engagement and high performance, emphasizing problem-solving and teamwork.
• Manage labor availability and efficient utilization according to the production plan.

Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance

• Ensure safe operating practices by implementing and enforcing all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate correct safety behaviors personally.
• Review all "Accident" and "Near Miss" Investigation reports and assess corrective actions taken.
• Participate in safety and quality audits, documenting non-conformances and taking responsibility for completing resulting Action Plans. Conduct regular shift audits.
• Ensure risk assessments are completed and actioned as per laid-down policy and procedures.
• Support a team culture that enhances behavioral awareness to reduce accidents and near misses.
• Oversee quality control according to company standards, making necessary adjustments.
• Reject products that do not meet set specifications.
• Implement corrective actions to achieve first-time-right results consistently.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the food or beverage industry. A strong understanding of production processes from mixing to palletizing, coupled with experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies and managing health, safety, and quality standards, is essential.
