About the Role

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Sales Manager to join the team at InterContinental Jeddah. This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, focusing on driving sales performance and leading the sales efforts for the hotel property.

Role Purpose

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, leading and motivating the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of established revenue targets. This role involves active market analysis, budget management, and fostering strong client relationships to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sales strategies, including special promotions and campaigns.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to meet or exceed targets.
• Manage sales department personnel issues, including training.
• Conduct regular sales meetings and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Prepare and monitor the sales department budget and approve expenditures.
• Track and analyze sales statistics based on quantitative metrics.
• Handle and resolve escalated customer issues.
• Establish sales and revenue quotas and monitor the performance of sales staff.
• Research market changes and identify emerging opportunities.
• Nurture relationships with collaborators and clients.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in sales management, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry. A proven track record of achieving sales targets and effectively leading a team is essential for success in this role.
