About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Jeddah is seeking a Senior Clinical Specialist. This full-time role involves comprehensive responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of specialized patient care. The specialist will also contribute to research initiatives and staff education and development within their area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain clinical histories, conduct physical examinations, and acquire tests relevant to the area of specialization.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Make diagnostic decisions based on the interpretation and evaluation of patient data, test results, and symptoms.
• Perform investigations and provide treatments and therapies specific to the specialty.
• Counsel and advise patients on issues related to the specialist area.
• Execute clinical responsibilities within related specialties such as Nursing, Laboratory, Respiratory, or Pharmacy, as assigned.
• Conduct Nurse-led outpatient clinics.
• Collaborate with physicians regarding diagnostics and treatment options.
• Review evidence-based medicine protocols to guide treatment choices and patient care standards, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Participate in promoting and maintaining effective communication and teamwork, treating colleagues, patients, and visitors with dignity and respect.
• Contribute to staff retention efforts to meet area-specific turnover rate goals, actively welcoming new staff/students.
• Promote a safe environment and patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying risks to the supervisor.
• Comply with policies for personal and patient safety and for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
• Report equipment failures, safety and security issues, and reductions in supply inventory to the supervisor.
• Contribute to cost efficiency savings in the assigned area by maintaining awareness of resource utilization.
• Assist in promoting and sharing knowledge through mentorship, aligned with relevant research and evidence-based practice.
• Participate in patient education programs.
• Adhere to all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in personal and others' education, training, and development as applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience required: 0-1 year.
