Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to separate its Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, DePuy Synthes. This separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements and regulatory approvals. Should you accept this position, it is expected that, following the transaction's conclusion, you would become an employee of DePuy Synthes, with employment governed by their processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. The Senior Planner Role

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Senior Planner to join our team. This full-time role is based in the Makkah region, with operations spanning Jeddah, Makkah, and Riyadh. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves critical responsibilities in demand planning, supply chain management, and new product introduction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasting and S&OP Management:
    • Maintain and understand sales data across various aggregation levels (Brands, Sub-brands, SKUs, variants, sizes, Distribution channels, demand groups, and demand locations).
    • Gather information and document assumptions based on historical data and business intelligence from sales, marketing, finance, retailers, and other sources.
    • Produce unconstrained base demand plans utilizing statistical modeling in collaboration with the Central planning team.
    • Maintain and validate assumptions of activities calendar and events forecasting building blocks.
    • Facilitate parts of the S&OP process to gain consensus and alignment with all stakeholders, practicing IBP concepts to arrive at one unbiased aligned number.
    • Analyze gaps (financials, capacities, inventory, etc.) from unit-based plans to drive alignment between business functions.
    • Measure and track forecast accuracy at different levels and initiate action plans for continuous improvement.
    • Manage a group of brands, maintaining the lead in supporting the S&OP process by ensuring local market insights are captured in the forecast.
  • Risk Management and Inventory Health:
    • Work with the Medical team to identify, manage, and communicate supply criticalities to all stakeholders outside the frozen horizon.
    • Collaborate with regional supply planners to assign the right priority and action plan to minimize supply risks.
    • Work with the Regulatory Affairs team to avoid and minimize risks associated with MDD-MDR Transition in the Middle East.
    • Coordinate with regional planning, the MDR project team, local marketing, and commercial on forecast validation to ensure sufficient stock build during blackout periods.
    • Perform SLOB (Slow-Moving and Obsolete) risk analysis and initiate action plans with marketing/commercial teams to keep SLOB provisions at minimum levels.
  • New Products Introduction:
    • Locally own NPI project management from a supply chain perspective, collaborating with regional supply planners, regulatory, marketing, commercial, and operations teams to ensure successful, on-time NPI launches.
    • Manage Phase In Phase Out (PIPO) changes at the SKU level and communicate these changes to all stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with Data Governance to ensure product codes are created in the system at the right time.
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Management for DPS CAPEX Instruments:
    • Responsible for forecasting all CAPEX requirements post-alignment with key stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Regional Planning).
    • Collaborate with regional planning and customer service for full allocation of instrument sets.
    • Collaborate with local and source deliver and CS teams to ensure complete fulfillments.
    • Ensure backorders (BO) are regularly reviewed and executed as early as possible.
    • Bring efficiency measures in supply chain operations within the portfolio.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a planning or supply chain role, preferably within the MedTech or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex forecasting, S&OP processes, and supply chain operations.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, covering operations in Jeddah, Makkah, and Riyadh. The role operates within an inclusive environment that values individual contributions and diverse perspectives.
