Warehouse Operation Supervisor

About the Role

Abdul Latif Jameel Motors is seeking a Warehouse Operation Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves supervising receiving, binning, storage, picking, and dispatch processes to enhance productivity and ensure parts are handled correctly and efficiently, utilizing available resources according to company policies. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of the Toyota Production System (TPS) in the main warehouse to ensure parts storage aligns with targeted levels and procedures, thereby improving business productivity.
• Ensure the correct handling of parts at the right time with the required quality, fully utilizing available warehouse resources at PIO Sub-warehouses as per company policies.
• Coordinate with various departments (Quality, Production, Planning, Inventory, and PD) regarding parts submission and documentation, including PIO order slips and parts discrepancy reports, to reconcile stock information.
• Oversee the daily implementation of 5S, PPO Audit, and IMTITHAL, and manage the updating and display of reports, including daily and monthly stock reports.
• Develop succession plans and training programs for team members.
• Prepare annual leave plans for reporting staff to prevent conflicts and ensure continuous daily operations.
• Manage knowledge transfer to staff and implement succession plans to improve staff satisfaction, productivity, and develop multi-skilled workers.
• Monitor sections, set new targets for each, and control operational costs in accordance with approved company policies and procedures.

Operational Focus

This role has a direct impact on monitoring warehouse operation activities and coordinating with other business units to implement best practices in warehouse operations. It also indirectly affects daily vehicle production related to parts. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and communicating updates to management and associates.

• Daily fulfillment of parts for production.
• Adherence to ISO9001 standards.
• Implementation of 5S methodology.
• Post-production Operation (PPO) management.
• Achieving daily targets for parts distribution without delay.
• Successful completion of bi-annual and monthly audits.

Decision-Making Authority

The Warehouse Operation Supervisor has the autonomy to develop succession plans and training programs, such as forklift safety training. The role involves medium supervision over daily operations and low authority over daily functional operations.

Strategic Impact

This position holds a crucial strategic role in the daily receiving of containers (GRN in JSAP system), warehouse storage management, and dispatching parts orders. It also provides crucial support to daily vehicle production.
