About the Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Specialist Role

Petro Rabigh is seeking a dedicated Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Specialist to join the Asset Integrity department. This full-time position is based in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with over 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement RCM programs for rotating, static, electrical, and instrumentation assets.
• Conduct RCM workshops, asset criticality assessments, and failure mode analysis.
• Optimize preventive maintenance strategies and define condition monitoring requirements.
• Ensure maintenance strategies align with OEM guidelines and industry standards such as API 580/581, IEC, and ISO.
• Prepare equipment strategies and update SAP PM master data, including task lists, maintenance plans, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams addressing chronic failures.
• Review the effectiveness of preventive maintenance, conduct gap analysis, and recommend strategy improvements.

Required Competencies and Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of ISO 55000, Reliability Engineering, Asset Integrity, and Maintenance Strategy.
• Proficiency in RCM, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies like TapRooT, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) modeling, and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI).
• Strong understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), specifically SAP, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and lifecycle cost modeling.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to manage teams, resolve complex technical issues, and drive performance improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Preference will be given to degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation engineering domains.
• A minimum of 15 years of progressive technical experience in the engineering field, specifically within a Refinery or Petrochemical Department.
