About Petro Rabigh and the RCM Specialist Role

This full-time RCM Specialist position is based in Rabigh.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The RCM Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Petro Rabigh's assets. This involves conducting in-depth reliability studies, analyzing equipment performance, and assessing trends to identify areas for improvement. The specialist will be responsible for identifying underperforming assets ("bad actors"), performing root cause analysis, and recommending engineering solutions to mitigate issues.

  • Conduct reliability studies, equipment performance analyses, and trend assessments.
  • Identify bad actors, perform root cause analysis, and recommend engineering solutions.
  • Develop reliability KPIs, dashboards, and monthly analysis reports.
  • Analyze Process and Machinery data to predict failure through pattern recognition.
  • Improve asset availability through performance monitoring, defect elimination, and reliability improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with Operations & Maintenance to drive the reduction of recurring failures.
  • Support CAPEX/Project stages through reliability input, including design reviews, RBI, and RAM modelling.
  • Support ROC & RSC action plans.
  • Support Assessment Management and Reliability Framework, including Process Safety and AIMS.

Required Competencies and Technical Skills

Successful candidates will possess a strong foundation in reliability engineering principles and methodologies. This includes a solid understanding of concepts such as Weibull analysis and reliability modelling. Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies and data analysis tools is essential. The role also requires knowledge of rotating and static equipment principles, and the ability to interpret condition-based monitoring (CBM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies.

  • Solid understanding of reliability engineering concepts (Weibull analysis, reliability modelling).
  • Proficient in RCA methodologies and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of rotating/static equipment principles.
  • Ability to interpret CBM and PdM technologies.
  • Proficiency in reliability software (*, Weibull++, Meridium, etc. is an advantage).

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet specific educational and experience criteria to be considered for this role. A minimum of 15 years of relevant technical experience in an engineering field within a large refinery or petrochemical environment is required. Educational qualifications must include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE) or an equivalent qualification from a reputable university.
