About Almarai and the Senior Accounting Officer Role

Almarai (المراعي), a leading company, is seeking a dedicated Senior Accounting Officer to join its team in Rabigh. This full-time role is central to maintaining robust financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial data within the organization.

Role Purpose and Key Contributions

The Senior Accounting Officer plays a critical role in supporting accurate financial reporting and controls. This involves managing cash flow, performing reconciliations, overseeing period-end activities, and validating costing and SAP entries. The position ensures compliance with financial regulations and provides essential on-the-job support to the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on department cash flow activities.
• Support various financial reporting processes, including Flash, Forecast, Budget, and 5-Year Plans (5YP).
• Handle payroll-related tasks, encompassing deductions, overtime calculations, and commissions.
• Coordinate internal, external, and management financial reporting, liaising with relevant stakeholders.
• Process vendor invoices by verifying basic accuracy and ensuring all necessary supporting documents are attached.
• Assist in period-end closing procedures and audit preparation, which includes physical verification and reconciliation of inventories, fixed assets, and overheads, as well as reviewing maintenance costs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Meeting the minimum credit hours required for SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants) membership eligibility.

Required Skills

• Good communication skills.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
