The Senior Accounting Officer Role

Almarai is seeking a Senior Accounting Officer to join its team in Umluj. This full-time position is central to ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust controls within the organization. The role involves managing various accounting functions and providing essential support to the finance team, contributing to compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and follow up on departmental cash flow activities.
• Contribute to financial reporting processes, including Flash reports, Forecasts, Budgets, and 5-Year Plans (5YP).
• Manage payroll-related tasks, encompassing deductions, overtime calculations, and commissions.
• Coordinate internal, external, and management financial reporting, serving as a liaison with relevant stakeholders.
• Process vendor invoices, verifying basic accuracy and ensuring all required supporting documents are attached.
• Support period-end closing activities and audit preparations, which includes physical verification and reconciliation of inventories, fixed assets, and overheads, as well as reviewing maintenance costs.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Must meet the minimum credit hours required for eligibility for membership with the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA).
