International Maritime Industries is seeking a Cost Controller NBR to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on ensuring all project cost control activities align with company policies and procedures.

Role Overview

The Cost Controller NBR will be responsible for analyzing existing budgets, identifying areas for improvement, and verifying financial data. This includes reviewing project plans, preparing quantity estimates, and engaging in negotiations with clients and contractors. The role also involves building and maintaining relationships with clients and other key stakeholders to ensure project financial health and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor systems and procedures for the Cost Control Function, including interface with the ERP team during establishment and troubleshooting phases.
• Monitor total project expenditure, verifying and checking invoices, claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure all project expenditures are captured and recorded accurately.
• Scrutinize workforce and material costs, as well as contracts, to ensure cost efficiency.
• Track project man-hours (PMT, Production, AMCP, Engineering, TMS, FMSS, and other relevant stakeholders), materials, consumables, equipment usage, and general expenses.
• Manage changes in project Scope of Work (SOW), variations received from clients, and revised project budgets, coordinating with project stakeholders as needed.
• Prepare project invoices and follow up on related payments. Upload all relevant project cost and expense data into designated project management software with clear schedules for expense incurrence.
• Update project budget, margin, and invoices, comparing them with the baseline budgeted cost.
• Negotiate prices for change orders and manage amended contracts.
• Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Support and provide all outstanding project costs for monthly accrual with supporting documents, ensuring all project man-hours are captured and approved on time.
• Follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure all outstanding project costs are converted to actual costs promptly.
• Monitor cost performance and generate variance/exception reports as required, presenting them to the Project Manager for approval and distribution.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide cost-related data as required by project stakeholders.
• Overseeing maintenance activities and practices in company assets is an advantage. Perform other duties as directed by the head of the department.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Willingness to work extra hours as needed.
• Demonstrated diplomatic and flexible approach.
• Experience in offshore or onshore project fabrication/construction (Rig, Lift boat, Ship Building, MRO).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. The role requires active participation in project teams and coordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
