About the Role

International Maritime Industries is seeking an Inspector QC Piping to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring that all piping construction activities, including fabrication and erection, are executed safely, effectively, and efficiently. The Inspector QC Piping will ensure compliance with applicable technical requirements, company policies, procedures, and Management System standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify piping material identity (pipe, valves, and fittings) and its conformance to installation drawings and specifications.
  • Confirm that welding inspection has been performed, joints have been released, and compile test packs with relevant inspection and test documentation as required by contract.
  • Verify that dimensions and alignment tolerances of piping systems adhere to construction specifications.
  • Review in-process surveillance to ensure compliance with specified piping erection procedures, including flange alignments, torquing, and cleanliness.
  • Identify, plan, and manage project consumables, liaising with PSCM for timely procurement.
  • Perform piping walkdown inspections, complete punch lists, verify resolution of punch list items, and witness final piping tests.
  • Complete and endorse all inspection records from initial inspection through final acceptance of piping systems.
  • Maintain client interface to ensure all contractual and code requirements are met within the inspection scope.
  • Facilitate interpretation of key requirements, codes, standards, and documentation for various materials and welding consumables used in the maritime business, including third-party inspector documentation (ABS, DNV, LR, etc.).
  • Monitor Piping Mechanical completion and fulfill pre-commissioning requirements for the project.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies and procedures.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in piping quality control and inspection within a construction or maritime industry setting.

This is a full-time position based in Ras Tannurah, within the Eastern region. The role involves working with a diverse team to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in maritime construction projects.
