LAB TECHNICIAN

About the Role

JAL International Co. Ltd. is seeking a LAB TECHNICIAN to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves performing a range of laboratory duties to support various analyses and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, label, sort, store, and prepare biological, chemical, or industrial samples for analysis.
• Perform routine and specialized analyses using automated systems, microscopes, or spectrometers.
• Accurately record and document all data obtained from tests and analyses.
• Set up, clean, sterilize, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and maintain logbooks.
• Adhere strictly to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Properly handle biohazards and chemical waste according to established protocols.
• Monitor stock levels of lab supplies, glassware, and reagents, and initiate orders as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar laboratory role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform routine and specialized laboratory tests.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and compliance (QHSE, SOPs).
• Attention to detail for accurate data recording and sample handling.
• Ability to manage inventory and order laboratory supplies efficiently.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Ras Tannurah, within the Eastern region. The role involves working in a laboratory setting, requiring adherence to strict safety and operational guidelines.
