Harvest Manager

About the Role

Golden Chicken Farms (الفروج الذهبي) is seeking a Harvest Manager to join their team in Shaqra, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supervising and coordinating poultry catching teams to ensure efficient and safe operations while minimizing bird stress, injuries, mortality, and product losses. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise catching teams during broiler catching and loading operations.
• Plan and coordinate catching activities according to production and transportation schedules.
• Ensure proper handling of birds to minimize injuries, stress, and mortality.
• Monitor team productivity and ensure required catching targets are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with company animal welfare, health, safety, and biosecurity standards.
• Coordinate with Farm, Transportation, and Processing teams regarding catching schedules and bird movements.
• Ensure catching equipment, crates, and vehicles are properly prepared and available.
• Monitor loading procedures and ensure birds are distributed appropriately in transport crates.
• Record and report catching quantities, mortality, injuries, delays, and operational issues.
• Train and guide catching team members on proper bird handling and safety procedures.
• Ensure employees follow PPE, hygiene, and biosecurity requirements.
• Address operational issues and coordinate with management for immediate corrective action.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of catching team members.
• Ensure farms and work areas are left clean and properly managed after catching activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma or relevant qualification is preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in a related field.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of poultry handling and animal welfare practices.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team in a physically demanding environment.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic reporting and documentation skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in Shaqra, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary, to meet operational demands.
