Echocardiography Technologist

About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking an experienced Echocardiography Technologist to join their team in Makkah and Jeddah. This full-time role involves conducting a variety of cardiac diagnostic procedures in both clinic and in-patient settings, serving patients of all sexes and nationalities with a strong emphasis on ethical and cultural sensitivity. The technologist will coordinate closely with cardiologists and specialists for supervision and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Echocardiograms (TTE and TEE): Perform 2D echo Doppler studies on adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, documenting preliminary results and notifying cardiologists of critical abnormalities. Prepare reports/videos for official reading, maintain equipment documentation, statistics, patient records, and ensure the examination room is clean and orderly. For TEE, prepare equipment, obtain consent, acquire patient history, provide patient education, monitor vital signs, and observe patients post-procedure.
• Stress Testing: Conduct treadmill exercise tests, Dobutamine stress tests, and Sestamibi studies. Explain procedures to patients, obtain consent, prepare skin for electrode attachment, connect lead wires, record ECG, take blood pressure, set maximum heart rate, and ensure emergency equipment is ready.
• Holter Monitoring: Explain the test, prepare the patient's skin, attach electrodes for 24-hour recording, process the unit in the computer, and prepare ECG tracings for analysis by specialists.
• Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring: Explain the test and its indications, set the machine for scheduled blood pressure checks, and process the data after 24 hours.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventative measures as applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
