Hydraulics Inspector Site Supervision (Saudi National)

About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Hydraulics Inspector for site supervision in Makkah, including Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves overseeing the installation and construction of various hydraulic infrastructure components for transportation and road projects. The ideal candidate will be a Saudi National with extensive site supervision experience within Saudi Arabia.

Role Context

As a Hydraulics Inspector, you will be an integral part of the construction supervision team. Your focus will be on stormwater networks, culverts, drainage systems, flood protection works, and other hydraulic infrastructure associated with road and transportation projects. Candidates with experience predominantly in building services, contractor-only roles, or office-based design positions will not be considered for this site-focused role.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect drainage, stormwater, hydraulic, and utility works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor construction activities related to culverts, box culverts, pipelines, catch basins, manholes, channels, retention ponds, and flood mitigation structures.
• Verify line, level, alignment, dimensions, and quality of works executed on site.
• Review contractor work activities and monitor compliance with approved method statements and quality procedures.
• Witness and document inspections, testing, and commissioning activities related to drainage and hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, discipline engineers, and other inspectors to resolve site issues.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE and environmental requirements.
• Support progress monitoring and provide inspection reports identifying deficiencies and required corrective actions.
• Verify materials used in hydraulic and drainage works meet project specifications and approved submittals.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings and construction details related to drainage and hydraulic infrastructure.
• Support the successful delivery of transportation corridors, roads, highways, drainage systems, and associated civil infrastructure projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Extensive site supervision experience on infrastructure projects within Saudi Arabia.
• Strong background in inspecting drainage and hydraulic works on behalf of engineering consultancy organizations.
• Must be a Saudi National.

Work Location

This position is based in the Makkah region, covering projects in Jeddah and Makkah.
