About the Linguistics Specialist Role

Editage, the flagship brand of Cactus Communications, is building a global pool of freelance contributors. We are seeking a Linguistics Specialist to support ongoing AI and language-based projects. This is a part-time, remote position offering flexible, task-based work for bilingual speakers.

Contributing to Language and AI Projects

As a Linguistics Specialist, you will join a network of contributors working on diverse projects that enhance AI models and language content. The role involves refining and annotating various forms of linguistic data to ensure accuracy and quality across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refine text, translations, and captions across general areas such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance.
• Transcribe conversations and perform quality checks on transcribed content.
• Label or annotate voice, text, or image content according to project guidelines.
• Review and correct outputs generated by AI systems.
• Assist in localizing content specifically for AI models.
• Accurately identify and label dialect variations within linguistic data.

Candidate Requirements

• Near-native level proficiency in the Target Language.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Demonstrated excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to consistently follow instructions and project guidelines.

Work Arrangement

This role offers a 100% remote, flexible, and ad hoc work arrangement, allowing contributors to manage their schedules. Specialists will engage with a wide variety of projects, becoming part of a global contributor pool for Cactus Communications.
