About the Sales Associate Role

Apparel Group is seeking a Sales Associate to join its team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for representing the brand, maximizing sales, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Sales Associate contributes to the overall retail experience by maintaining store standards, supporting visual merchandising efforts, and performing operational duties as assigned by store management.

Customer Engagement and Sales

• Greet customers and provide assistance in selecting products that meet their specific needs.
• Engage proactively with customers to convert window shoppers into buyers.
• Promote the company's loyalty program to encourage repeat sales and customer retention.
• Deliver top-tier customer service by adhering to the company’s GUEST model (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
• Maintain knowledge of various brands within the group to offer effective suggestions and cross-selling opportunities.
• Educate customers on product features, benefits, materials, and care instructions.

Store Presentation and Inventory Management

• Ensure products are displayed attractively and in accordance with established store layout standards.
• Adhere to visual merchandising (VM) guidelines and stock management protocols, particularly for clearance items.
• Record and maintain accurate inventory records for all incoming and outgoing stock.
• Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance sales opportunities.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product inventory and current promotions to communicate effectively with customers.
• Replenish and re-merchandise stock on the sales floor to ensure continuous product availability.

Operational Processes and Compliance

• Efficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for all billing and transaction processes.
• Balance the cash till accurately at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Process payments precisely using various methods including cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
• Issue receipts, process refunds, and provide correct change to customers.
• Maintain vigilance regarding store security and ensure adherence to all loss prevention policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree is desired for this position.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in a sales role is preferred.
• The role requires 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to stay up-to-date on product knowledge to provide accurate recommendations and minimize stock loss.

Work Environment and Expectations

This is a full-time position based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires flexibility and availability to work extended hours during peak sales periods. A consistently well-groomed and professional appearance is expected at all times.
