Senior Clinical Specialist (advanced wound and ostomy practice)

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center is seeking a Senior Clinical Specialist with expertise in advanced wound and ostomy practice. This full-time position is based in Makkah, specifically covering Jeddah and Makkah cities, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on providing specialized care to a specific patient population, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate specialized care for a defined patient population.
• Contribute to research initiatives within the clinical specialty.
• Participate in staff education and development programs.

Demonstrated Competencies

Candidates must possess proven expertise and demonstrated competency in advanced wound and ostomy care, including:

• Complex Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) application and troubleshooting.
• Fistula isolation and effluent management.
• Complex ostomy pouching and management of challenging pouching situations.
• Complex preoperative stoma-site assessment and marking.
• Limb salvage and management of complex diabetic/ischemic wounds.
• Assessment and management of atypical and complex wounds.
• Clinical and evidence-based evaluation of wound and ostomy products.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant clinical specialty.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced wound and ostomy care practices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, serving patients in the Makkah region, specifically Jeddah and Makkah. The salary for this role will be disclosed during the recruitment process.
