Supervisor Food Services (Dry)

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Food Services (Dry) to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing food service operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining operational standards within the dry food service areas. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff collaboration for optimum service and guest satisfaction.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning, and securing areas.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, adherence to FIFO, and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, and motivation of employees.
• Serve as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Ensure adherence to company and safety/security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and protection of company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally, foster positive working relationships, and support team goals.
• Ensure quality expectations are met and identify opportunities for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Ability to move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
