Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping to join our team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across our properties in Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves overseeing daily housekeeping operations and ensuring quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool after cleaning to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning schedules, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management in coordinating daily activities and act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments, and communicate issues to the next shift.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally with others and foster positive working relationships.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant housekeeping or supervisory role is required.
• Proficiency in using computers and/or point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.

Work Environment

This role is based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to properties in Jeddah. The position requires a commitment to maintaining high service standards in a dynamic hospitality environment.
