About the Role

Virtucruit is collaborating with a prominent company in Saudi Arabia to recruit a Drill Rig Mechanic (Trainee) for its Exploration Department. This full-time position is based in Najran and is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on supporting maintenance activities for drill rigs to minimize downtime and enhance overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to the highest safety, health, and environmental work standards.
Assist in conducting inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on Surface and Underground exploration drill rigs, specifically Epiroc Boyles and Diamec PHC models.
Support mechanic technicians in diagnosing and repairing complex electro-hydraulic faults on underground drill rigs.
Perform regular inspections of drilling equipment to identify potential issues and execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
Utilize power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment for fabricating or repairing components.
Learn to operate computerized testing equipment to identify faults and ensure optimal equipment performance.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, parts usage, and work hours.
Assist in all maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring they align with company safety standards and OEM specifications.
Maintain good housekeeping practices within and around the workshop area.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will actively support maintenance operations, including troubleshooting, repairing, and assisting in the installation of drill rig components. This role is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are eager to develop their skills in drill rig mechanics within an exploration environment.

Qualifications and Experience

0-1 years of relevant experience.
Ability to learn and apply maintenance procedures for drill rig components.
Familiarity with safety protocols in an industrial setting.
